CATCHING PHOTONS | DYLAN SIGGERS

There are a lot of ways to describe Dylan Siggers. Professional skier. Biker. Filmmaker. Husband. Dad. Friend.

‘Catching Photons’ is a candid look at Dylan doing what Dylan normally does when summer rolls around in his hometown: finishing work, finding some friends, grabbing a bike and making the most of whatever light is left.

Shot in June 2026, filmer Liam Morgan dropped into Fernie to spend time with Dylan, his family and friends in the middle of another characteristically busy summer.

There wasn’t much need for a script.

Ride after work. Hit the dirt jumps. Sit around on the patio. Laugh a lot. Repeat tomorrow.

Somewhere in there, Liam kept hitting record.

There’s something about summer in Fernie that feels suspiciously similar to being a kid again.

You spend the day waiting for everyone else to finish whatever they’re doing. Someone sends the message. Bikes come out. People slowly collect. Then you ride until there isn’t enough light left to justify another jump.

For Dylan, that rhythm lives alongside everything else he has going on. Skiing, biking, filming, family, work. A fairly ridiculous number of things competing for the same 24 hours, usually met with the same amount of energy.

‘Catching Photons’ isn’t really about separating any of those things.

It’s about seeing what happens when they all exist at once. The result is a portrait of Dylan and more a window into the life happening around him.

A week of bikes, friends and long evenings in the place he calls home.
