The third iteration of our favourite day of the year, The Gathering, was a success! ⁠
The Gathering is our chance to give back to the amazing community of riders who support and believe in what we do. It’s a day to shred our local trails, eat delicious food, and have a good time with friends. ⁠

Leading up to the weekend saw some rainy Vancouver Island weather, and the event day called for a full day of rain. However, the skies opened up the morning of the Gathering and we had all-time fall riding conditions. Massive shoutout to everyone who showed up for the ride this year, even with the less-than-stellar weather forecast.

The day started with one of our Forbidden team’s favourite laps in our local Cumberland Forest Trail Network:
Truffle Shuffle – Teapot – Lower Vanilla – Scat/Brat – 2 Pack – Bonestorm.

On our way over to Scat/Brat we stopped by Railroad for an impossible climb challenge. The first person to clear it went home with a fresh set of tires.

After the ride we enjoyed burgers from our friends at Famous Singers Burger Bar, we had a tire mounting challenge, and everyone went home with a Frobidden swag bag!

A big thanks to Gravity MTB for guiding the group rides and letting us invade their space. Another big thank you goes out to United Riders of Cumberland for the work they do on the epic trails in the Cumberland Forest. A special shoutout to everyone who attended the ride, and for those who couldn’t make it, know that you were dearly missed. Take this as your sign to join us for VOL 4.
