A NEW LEVEL OF CONFIDENCE HAS ARRIVED

Introducing Dreadnought E. An e-MTB built from the ground up with a singular purpose – to charge through the most chaotic, rowdy lines you can find, and whisk you back to the top asking for more. Dreadnought E delivers a whole new level of confidence and redefines what it means to truly fear no trail. Big travel. Full power. Zero hesitation.

Big travel – 170mm of Trifecta rear travel paired with a 180mm fork. The kinematic delivers a predictable ride feel that was defined to work with the newest generation of coil and large volume air shocks. Combine this with a rearward, yet reserved axle path, and the bike has the ability to plow when you drop your heels, but still offer pop and support when it’s needed to get off the ground or pump to generate that addictive speed.

Full power – Dreadnought E is available in 4 complete build tiers featuring the all-new Avinox M2S and M2 drive systems, giving you up to 130 Nm of torque (150 Nm in boost) and 1300 W of peak power with the M2S and 110 Nm of torque (125 Nm in boost) and 1100 W of peak power with the M2. Dreadnought E also gives the rider the option of either a 600 Wh or 800 Wh battery. Choose your preference, 800 Wh for maximum range, 600 Wh for maximum ride handling. With a 600 Wh battery, the builds come in at 51.6lbs (23.43 kg) or less, and with an 800 Wh battery, the builds come in at 53.5lbs (24.30 kg) or less.

Zero hesitation – Dreadnought E geo is unapologetically downhill focused. A mixed-wheel size only platform with a tall front end, slack angles, and specifically designed around short cranks. This all focuses the riders position to be more centered, tall and relaxed, offering control and composure previously only reserved for downhill race bikes. Of course, Dreadnought E also gets our full OneRide proportional sizing treatment and is the world’s second truly proportionally sized e-bike (yes, the Druid E was the first).

Dreadnought E isn’t here to play nice, it’s here to go further, hit harder, and redefine what a full-power, big-travel e-MTB is supposed to feel like.

E-BIKE SPECIFIC GEO & SPEC

Looking at the Geo chart above, you’ll find numbers are quite close to Supernought.

Increased stack, combined with shorter cranks, lifts your head up and squares off your stance, putting you in a more natural-feeling, upright position. From this position, you’re better equipped to control and maneuver the bike with confidence and precision, allowing you to flick it around as if the extra system weight isn’t even there.

Continuing in the vein of DH-focused handling, we designed the bike around a mullet wheel setup only. This gives the rider more influence over the chassis of the bike, making it easier to initiate and maintain direction changes.

And while you might think all this DH-oriented geometry would be a detriment on steep climbs, with our proportional geometry, the rear-centers grow, and seat angles get steeper as you go up in size, keeping you centered on the bike, both up and down the hill.

For more information on our ebike geo philosophy check out our tech talk video above and also last year’s Druid E tech video.

AVINOX DRIVE SYSTEM

A year has passed since we introduced the Druid E, and we’ve had even more time to test the ever-growing market of motor systems. But still, the Avinox drive system is an absolute no-brainer for us, especially with the all-new Avinox M2 and M2S motors.

Yes, the new motors have more torque and power, but it’s on those grim and technical climbs where this motor still blows us away. Thanks to continued refinements and updates from Avinox, it’s even easier than ever to finesse each pedal stroke to maintain traction. Combine that with our low pedal kickback, thanks to the idler position, and you get a bike that’ll drag you up a hill, whether you deserve it or not.

Spec-wise, for the M2S, which comes on our Tier 1 and Tier 2 builds, you’re looking at 130 Nm of torque (150 Nm in boost) and 1300 watts of peak power in a 2.6 Kg package. For the M2, which comes on our Tier 3 and Tier 4 builds, you’re looking at 110 Nm of torque (125 Nm in boost) and 1100 watts of peak power in a 2.65 Kg package.

With both motor options, you still get a touchscreen display, intuitive controls, and the brilliant Avinox Ride app, which gives you endless customizations from the information displayed on the screen to fine-tuning every aspect of each assist mode.

It doesn’t stop there. There’s even an option for fast charging, which gets you from zero to 75% in just one and a half hours.

TRIFECTA V3 PLATFORM

We took everything we learned from developing the Druid E and designed the Dreadnought E to be our most capable long-travel trail bike to date. Our Trifecta V3 suspension is at the heart of this. It’s still high-pivot and still four-bar, retaining all the Dreadnought ride characteristics you know and love, but key design changes put the shock in a vertical position, maximizing room for long dropper posts while still packaging the motor and battery cleanly and efficiently. You can slam a 180mm dropper into an S1 frame.

We can’t forget the graphs.

THE FINER DETAILS

Avinox Touch Screen, App, and Controls

Dreadnought E features a 2-inch OLED full-colour Control Display as the interactive hub, enabling connectivity between the Avinox Drive Unit and your mobile device via the Avinox app. New this year, the Avinox system also offers an Enhanced Navigation feature, allowing you to either import data files (GPX, FIT, TCX) or link through navigation apps, to have navigation right there on the Avinox screen.

The display also features a 65W Type-C fast charging output, allowing you to charge your lights, your phone, Nintendo Switch, whatever your heart desires.

Tuneable assist modes, wireless handlebar controls, and an intuitive app set the Avinox system apart from the rest.

AXS Extension Cord

Dreadnought E builds that are spec’d with AXS transmission come equipped with SRAM’s AXS Extension Cord. The SRAM AXS Extension Cord connects the AXS transmission to the bike’s battery, allowing you to power the drivetrain directly without the use of an AXS battery

This connection also enables the Avinox Smooth Shift feature, allowing you to change gears without pedalling. Not only does this help when you’re approaching a steep climb or when you need to drop some gears in the middle of a descent, it also reduces your drivetrain wear.

Cable Routing
No headset cable routing here. Our adaptable cable routing allows you to neatly route the cables and hoses, no matter which hand you operate your rear brake with. Our clean and simple cable ports ensure no unwanted movement anywhere along the frame.

Carbon Rocker Link

The Trifecta V3 platform features a carbon rocker link. The carbon rocker link is light, stiff, reduces unsprung mass, isolates the shock from lateral forces, and gives the bike the right amount of progressivity. 8 x 30 mm bearing hardware, top and bottom, comes as standard on all shocks.

Idler Pulley

Dreadnought E sports our e-bike-specific 18-tooth steel idler equipped with two Enduro solid lube bearings. These changes, along with a refined tooth profile, increase the idler’s longevity while ensuring compatibility with the latest drivetrains.

Custom, Accessible Hardware

Like every Forbidden, Dreadnought E features a full suite of custom tried-and-tested hardware built to last, and all bolt-checkable with a single multi-tool.

Custom Frame Protection

We developed a full complement of custom frame protection for Dreadnought E. Chainstay, seatstay, downtube, and motor cover protection have all been developed and designed in-house specifically for this bike. All models also come equipped with RideWrap installed from the factory in those high-wear spots.

Water Bottle Fitment

Even our smallest Dreadnought E frame size can fit a full-size 26oz water bottle, regardless of your rear shock reservoir. The bikes also come equipped with a Fidlock mount; Forbidden Fidlock bottles will be available soon.

Lifetime Warranty

Dreadnought E carries the same lifetime warranty as all our carbon bikes.
