The best things in life usually happen organically when you go with the flow, hang out with good friends, and do what you love.

Low Pressure is the result of the best-laid not going to plan. When torrential rains wreaked havoc on most of the riding spots around Santa Cruz, the crew opted to make the best of what they had; a trip down to California to ride with some good buddies, eat high-grade burritos, play some pool, and maybe shoot some video along the way.

Catch up with Canmore’s Liam Baylis as he takes his Druid and dirtjumper to some local gems, and takes in the good times along the way.

bigquotesMaking bike videos almost never goes to plan. No matter how much you plan, envision, and work to get a shoot together, a myriad of external forces are always waiting to ruin your day. We came into this project with a very specific goal and vision, but Mother Nature decided that all of the jump lines and trails should get washed away in a storm 3 days before Baylis and I flew into Santa Cruz. With little to no time, we broke out the tools and spent 80% of our 5-day trip getting features ridable. We realized that the shoot we had planned was unlikely to be achievable, and decided that rather than forcing what would have been impossible, we should just get the boys together, have some fun and get some rad clips. That’s exactly what we did. Good crew, good times, and low pressure.

Huge thank you to Isaac, Nic, and Owen for being stoked to help.
